About Me

I am an organizer, public scholar, and facilitator, as well as a Ph.D candidate in political theory at the University of British Columbia. My research broadly covers queer and trans politics and theory, intersectionality, critical theory, anarchist politics, and environmental justice. My dissertation explores trans joy as part of a radical queer and trans politics, as well as the joyful, anarchic politics of queer and trans zines.

As a researcher and educator, I am passionate about fostering inclusive, accessible learning spaces through creative, collaborative, and anti-oppressive facilitation and pedagogy. These values extend into my personal and community life, and you can frequently find me volunteering at Spartacus Books or local LGBTQ+ events.

Originally from the Northeast United States, I moved to Vancouver in 2019 with my beloved cat, Tiana. Prior to moving here, I completed degrees in the U.K. and U.S. and worked as a full-time community organizer in Philadelphia. When Iā€™m not buried in work and organizing, I can be found wandering the city, making art, and rewatching mid-2000s TV shows.
